The Chicago Yacht Club (CYC) and New Trier Sailing (NTS) registration is now open for the Fall 2026 Sailing season. Dry suits will be required for Varsity and are highly encouraged for JV. Sailors without a dry suit may not be able to sail on colder days.
Mandatory Tryouts: August 22nd and August 23rd from 10 am – 2pm
Varsity Practice Schedule:
– Start September 1st: Practices held Tuesday / Thursday / Friday (when there are no travel regattas)
JV/Sonar Practice Schedule:
– Start August 31: Practices held Monday / Wednesday / optional Fridays
Please follow the instructions below to complete your registration with both CYC and NTS by August 30th. Note that the NTS dues are handled separately and need to be paid following the instructions below. The NTS dues help fund transportation, insurance, as well as help to cover NTS sponsored gatherings and events.
- Complete the Chicago Yacht Club registration and pay the associated CYC fees.
- Pay the additional dues for New Trier Sailing following the instructions below. The NTS dues will be $600 for the fall season.*
- Fill out the information form below, including medical and insurance information.
- Print, sign and submit the NTS Code of Conduct.
- Print, sign and submit the NTS liability waiver.
All printed and signed documents (Code of Conduct, Liability Waiver) should be scanned and e-mailed to newtriersailing@gmail.com. Please use “Registration” and the name of your sailor in the title of the e-mail.
*For payment of NTS dues, the strong preference is for using Chase QuickPay/Zelle using the newtriersailing@gmail.com address. If payment by check is necessary, please e-mail for instructions.
