New Trier Sailing has partnered with the Chicago Yacht Club to provide coaches for the team.
Hector Guzman, head coach, CYC Sailing School
A native of Huixquilucan, Mexico, Hector was the captain of the Hobart and William Smith Sailing Team in 2019-20. He is a three-time Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association All-American Skipper who competed in 60 regattas during his college career, including seven national championships.
Ivan Sagel, Assistant Coach
Coach Sagel assists with coaching the JV team. He is an experienced sailor and a U.S. Sailing certified sailing instructor.
