On April 9th and 10th New Trier Sailing competed in the MISSA Central Baker Qualifer at Belmont Harbor hosted by the Chicago Yacht Club. On Saturday Caroline McClain ‘24, Will Broseman ‘22, George Barton ‘22, Lucy Elvart ‘24, Cal Lutton ‘22 and Emil Body-Goldberg ‘23 sailed. On Saturday 7 of the 9 races in the round robin were completed. At the end of the day New Trier was in fourth place overall.
On Sunday April 10 the day started out finishing the last 2 races of the round robin. Following the completion of the round robin the top 3 and bottom 3 teams were sent in. The remains 4 teams completed another round robin.
At the end of the regatta New Trier ended up in 7th place, just short of qualifying for the Baker regatta.
