Registration is now open for the New Trier Sailing (NTS) Fall 2024 season! Please make sure to complete registration for both the Chicago Yacht Club (CYC) and NTS by the August 19 deadline. If you are a returning sailor, please register for the team (Varsity / JV / Sonar) that you last participated with. If you are new to the team, please register for JV. CYC coaches will be conducting detailed evaluations during tryouts to determine best team placement for all.
Tryouts will be conducted on August 20 and 21 at Belmont Harbor and practices will kick off after Labor Day. The first day of practice for Varsity will be September 3rd, while the first JV and Sonar practice will be on September 4th. Practices will run from 4PM to 7PM at Belmont Harbor. JV and Sonar will practice every Monday and Wednesday while Varsity will have practice every Tuesday, Thursday and non-travel Fridays.
Also, please take note of the separate registration for the Chicago Yacht Club High School Pipeline camp next week (Aug 12 -16). This great opportunity is highly recommended for newer sailors to meet some of the coaches and familiarize themselves with the boats and harbor prior to tryouts.
